Finasteride
Generic Finasteride is the leading male hair loss treatment on the market. Finasteride was first introduced by Merck to the market in 1992 as the brand Proscar in a 5mg dose for the treatment of prostate issues, but in 1997 in a medical breakthrough, it was re marketed in 1mg pills under the brand name Propecia, as the first pill that effectively treated male pattern hair loss, or baldness in laymen's terms. In clinical tests it was found that 48% of men treated with Finasteride showed a visible increase in hair growth, while 42% experienced no further loss of hair at all.
The cost of Generic Finasteride is substantially lower than that of the brand name version and with the identical results, it is an excellent alternative. |
